Job description

The employee will participate in the implementation of activities for the technology transfer office of CERIC-ERIC.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development and review of a variety of procedures and documents for commercial activities of research infrastructures (RIs) such as commercial access or service, confidentiality, material transfer, inter-institutional, collaborative research, tangible property licenses, non-disclosure agreements and sponsored research agreements.
  • Engagement with investors and companies to determine their needs and identify applicable CERIC technologies for licensing.
  • Support in preparation and organisation of research-to-business events.
  • Support to activities of human capital development in technology transfer area.
  • Support to other related activities of the knowledge and technology transfer.

Qualifications and other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (ISCED) or higher in the fields relevant to material characterisation or economy or law.
  • Mandatory at least one year of experience with technology transfer related activities.
  • Knowledge and experience in negotiating business contracts will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, ability to work in a multicultural, interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are necessary.

Conditions of employment

The position will be based in Basovizza, Trieste, Italy.
The main working language is English.
Full time, fixed term contract, initial 12 months renewable for additional 24 months.
The offered compensation will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
